Samaritan’s Purse sent an email after the earthquake in Haiti to everyone who participated in Operation Christmas Child, explaining their work in helping Haiti and asking for our support. Our firm decided to hold a coffee morning to try to raise funds, and volunteers baked enough to feed a small army. The generosity of my colleagues, as it turns out, was tremendous. As of this morning, we had collected more than €500 for aid to Haiti, which is pretty impressive for a firm of less than 50 people. Then one of the partners came in this morning and privately donated another €100 – plus the firm is probably going to “top up” the final amount (they were selling the leftover baked goods, too) donated.

Have to admit I’m pretty proud to work with such generous people. Sure, the job can be a pain in the arse sometimes, but there are good sides, too… 🙂
